At Great Bridge Primary School, we are dedicated to providing an enjoyable and accessible French curriculum for our pupils. Our aim is to help them develop their language skills and foster an appreciation for diverse cultures. Through our curriculum, we aim to empower our students to become confident and effective language learners.

To deliver a high-quality French curriculum, we have partnered with Language Angels for the past year. This collaboration has allowed us to develop an interactive French curriculum that is in line with the National Curriculum. By incorporating resources from Language Angels, we ensure that our curriculum has a seamless progression and coherence across key language learning skills, such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing. These resources perfectly align with our school values of "all valued, all achieving, all equal," ensuring that language learning is accessible to all students.

We strongly believe that learning a foreign language offers numerous advantages to our pupils. By studying another language, children can improve their communication and listening skills, enhance their cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for different cultures. Our primary goal is to cultivate a positive attitude towards language learning, laying a strong foundation for future language acquisition and sparking international curiosity amongst our pupils.
