UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) 2018  

Great Bridge Primary School is required to keep and process certain information about its staff members and pupils in accordance with its legal obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). The school may, from time to time, be required to share personal information about its staff or pupils with other organisations, mainly the LA, other schools and educational bodies, and potentially children’s services.

Whilst the majority of pupil information you provide to us is mandatory, some of it is provided to us on a voluntary basis. In order to comply with the Data Protection Legislation, we will inform you whether you are required to provide certain pupil information to us or if you have a choice in this.

Storing pupil data.

We hold pupil data securely within our computer systems and in paper records to help us with their educational needs. This data will be kept for the set amount of time as detailed in our data retention schedule.
